There's a bunch of fallout; these colors are definitely the kinds that you have to apply BEFORE anything else on your face. I tried applying these in various ways: first time was with both a fluffy blending brush and dense shadow brush. That was the worse application. The colors refused to stay on my lid. I would have to do numerous layers just to get decent coverage, but by the time I was done, half the colors were gone. I wore it for around 5hrs the first time and by the end, there was barely any color left on my lid. Second time: applied with my fingers. I got the most coverage this way. Colors were still patchy, but not as bad as the first time. Everything seemed swell until 7-8hrs later when I got back home. Once again, the colors completely faded and I was left with only a tinge of pink. The last time I used this palette, I applied with my fingers again but stuck with just the mattes. Once again, this seems to be the best way to apply. But once again, the colors were gone after 4hrs of wear. The only one that stayed was a red blush I used from another company.
The shimmers are messy, which is surprising because shimmery shadows are usually the neatest. The mattes are the worse. The only decent color is Peony (top row, 2nd from left), but it's SUPER frosty and not really that flattering. Bad fallout with that one, too. I tried using a bit of water with the other shimmery ones (foiling technique) which makes shimmer shadows apply better and with fuller colors, but, of course, it didn't work with these. They applied even worse after that.
The quality of these reminds me of those super cheap eyeshadow palettes that were insanely popular back around 8 years ago.
This brand needs to allow returns because this NOT worth the $34 I paid for it (even with the pre-order discount I got). I was interested in the other palettes, but I'm 100% sure they're of the same quality.
I used this palette the minute I got it in my hands. Perfect for the summer!! My husband complimented my eye look saying it looked like a sunset!
Wow !!! This palette is beyond amazing.. better than any Natasha Denona, ABH, or even Coloured Raine shadows !!! Super easy to blend and the pigment is INSANE!! The color selection is beyond perfect... I cant wait to get my hands on the rest of the collection !!!
