I originally stumbled upon this palette a few years ago when I was on a mad search for palettes with purple in them. I was trying to find the ideal shade of violet because you never see really cool-toned, darker purples in mattes, all the time in metallic, but I wanted a matte violet, a true matte true violet. So I had the original version of this palette with the old formula and it was a very bright shade, but it did have a bit of a chalkiness to it that caused a lot of fall-out. However, I have learned better how not to get so much fallout when applying shadow since then. So, needless to say, as soon as this came out in a new formula, I was eager to try it, and I’m glad I finally picked it up. I find it to be a great travel palette because it fits nicely into most makeup bags and it has the two shades I wear the most: purple and taupe. I do wish it was just a purple palette with some periwinkle and lilac shades, but that wouldn’t make it the ideal travel palette because it would be lacking the true neutrals. Although, I consider purple to be a neutral colour because it looks good on everyone. So yeah, the new formula is great, the metallics especially are better, but the mattes don’t cause as much fallout either. Not my absolute favourite palette, but I keep it in my regular rotation.
I purchased this palette to go with the collection I currently have. The colors are absolutely beautiful.

I am really picky about what eyeshadows I use and this shadow formula was so pigmented and lasted all day! The color story in this one paradise fallen is perfect for the classic smokey eye or soft glam but the pops of color pushed me to create unique looks as well.
This is a lovely addition to my makeup collection. It is stunning and exhibits royalty with the color story and design
