Gorgeous colors

I am in love with these palettes. Was the best decision to order all 4 of them. Very pigmented and easy to blend.

Almost perfect

I absolutely love these palettes. The colours are all beautiful and they are all nicely pigmented, which I very much appreciate as I have dark skin. However, the initial colour seems to fade away a little when you first place the shade down so it requires a tiny bit of building, but it is still beautiful none the less.

Sadly, these palettes were a serious disappointment and customer service has been non-existent.

I just received my order. I’ve never purchased from Ace Beauté before and I’m disappointed to say that I will not be doing so again in the future. Given the price of the palettes I purchased, I was expecting a higher quality product. Unfortunately, I’ve found that the shadows are patchy, do not blend well, and leave massive amounts of fallout. On top of this, I had to pay $47 worth of duties upon delivery, which I was not expecting. The shadows look extremely pigmented and creamy in the pan, but as soon as I apply them, they become faint, and blending only serves to make the colours murky. I’ve used eyeshadow primer and tried both dry and wet brush application, all with similar poor results.

I realize there’s not much you can do in regards to this situation. The cost to ship and return the products would be quite prohibitive for me, so it would seem I am stuck with these palettes. I am quite a makeup aficionado (I have over 100 eyeshadow palettes) and I’m disappointed that these palettes won’t get much use. I was particularly excited about the Classical Paradise and Paradise Fallen palettes as the colour stories in those palettes would have added some new shades to my extensive collection.

I’ve been disappointed by other makeup products in the past, but I generally find a way to make them work. However, in this situation my disappointment is compounded in that all five of the palettes I purchased seem to be of similar low quality and as such, are not particularly wearable.

Again, I realize there’s not much you can do but I thought it might be helpful to provide some honest feedback that might help future prospective buyers.

I had previously emailed customer service with the above concerns. I never received a response.

eyeshadow palettes

I love all palettes.Beautiful colors and beautiful packaging. The colors go on smooth and easy to blend out. Also the colors have great pigment to them.

Prime and prepare! The pigment is there!

The mattes NEED something to stick to. I use white concealer as a base (don’t set it but pat out the edges and let it dry a bit but stay tacky) but I’m sure eyeshadow primer works too (it’s eyeshadow primer, it’s its job).

The mattes really don’t want to stick to bare skin, seriously, they just disappear. Maybe add some kaolin clay to the formula so it isn’t as dry next time?

Also: TAP GENTLY, LIGHTLY, AS WERE YOU SNEAKING PAST A SLEEPING ANGEL, in to the mattes because they kick up quite a bit. I personally don’t mind, I’ve always used a light hand when applying eyeshadow but others might not feel the same way.

They build to 85%-100% opacity, most are true to pan color, and the play/blend well together.

On an artsy note the color stories of Blossom, Classical and (especially) Fallen are truly unique, and Slice is well-executed for a rainbow. The shadow names in each palette follow a theme and fit the four stereotypical seasons (Blossom-spring, Slice-summer, Classical-fall, Fallen-winter) which is a neat detail.

I’m very excited to see what Rachel C and Ace Beauté will cook up next! I’ve seen her dieties series on Instagram, I believe they were the original concept for the Paradise collection, but I’d still like to see this further developed.

An almost perfect release but I had to deduct a star because of the fidgety nature of the mattes.
... it also took it three weeks to get here, but that’s because I live in Denmark and PostNord’s customs dept. can’t be bothered by something as plebeian as doing their job within a reasonable deadline.
